You & Me

The Ultimate Venue fo a Date with the Man you LOVE is the SKYVIEW BAR at Burj al Arab.

Burj Al Arab is the world's 7 star hotel. It is the iconic and symbolic statement of Dubai. I would say that, if you are a tourist who would only visit Dubai once in your life then I suggest you visit the Burj Al Arab and have the afternoon tea.

I always tell my guests that (especially if they are on a tight budget fo their vacation) the least expensive restaurant (You need to have a restaurant reservation to be accomodated inside the hotel) is the Skyview Bar. And there are 2 things you can do there.
1.) Afternoon Tea (Overflowing scones, pastries, canapes, tea, coffee, juice + 1 glass of champagne each person) worth 395dhs equivalent to approximately $120 per person.
2.) Cocktails (Minimum of 250dhs equivalent to approximately $75) and they will provide you with an ala carte menu to choose from.

You just have to decide whether you want to see the view (Afternoon Tea starts 1pm-4pm) where its so surreal or you just want to have cocktails in the evening but you get to see lights instead of the spectacular views.
Note that Kids are not allowed in any Bars of Dubai. To be honest, I think there are a vast things to do and a lot of places to go to in Dubai but this is not a kid-friendly place. I think the government is on the process of providing entertainment to kids. But for now, kids will have to content with Kidzania and Zega at Dubai Mall and some Parks.

Imagine having a chance to have a window table!

Beamer arrived in Dubai from NY, Valentines Day 2010. We could not go to Burj because he arrived late in the evening and was on duty since its a full occupancy in the hotel. So, I booked (ahead of time to guarantee a table) for the Afternoon Tea, a day after Valentines Day.
Tip: Book for the earliest time (1pm) so you can have 90% possibility that you will have a window table. Inform the Reservations Agent about your request. And whatever you are celebrating for so they would entertain your request.

Beamer is scared of heights but I got him to the Panoramic Lift.
